Solberg Scandinavian AS holds one of the largest emergency supply stock in Europe of Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) concentrates, and keeps a red alert measures 24 hours a day. It has its own stainless steel transportation containers, certified and approved by Det norske Veritas, for offshore applications. These containers are transportable with truck, ship and - if necessary - with helicopter.

Solberg Scandinavian AS supplies foam concentrate to the major oil companies operating in the North Seas well as the onshore petrochemical and refineries plants. For engine rooms the concept consists of a system for local protection of high risk areas based on low expansion AFFF/ATC foam, a system that meets the requirements of IMO. The local protection method is a water based extinguishing system designed for clearly defined hazard objects in the engine room.

The combination using Inergen as main extinguishing and Arctic Foam Fog as a local protection is the most effective extinguishing system for engine room hazards. The company also administers seminars and a test centre. It runs regular foam seminars for key personnel within safety and security from relevant fields of the industry.

In 2007 Solberg Scandinavian has expanded her activities also into the Asian region which has resulted by foundation of
Solberg Asia Pacific Pty.Ltd in Australia.
